Temat prezentowanego wyst\u0105pienia: The reclamation of a municipal waste landfill – Grudzi\u0105dz case study<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstrakt:<\/p>\n

Municipal landfills are one of nature’s most transformed areas. It should be acknowledged that the very process of designing and building a repository is among the most difficult strategic issues within human clusters, in particular due to the requirements that a landfill should meet, including the method of its establishment and shutdown. These requirements include, among others, maximum tightness and minimum impact – especially on the immediate surroundings. It should also be remembered that landfills are facilities that occupy a very large area and require considerable capacity, and their lifetime is counted in tens of years. An additional difficulty is the nature of the landfilled waste, which is very diverse in terms of physical, chemical and biological properties. Therefore, the very design and use of a landfill is a challenge – but its extinction and rehabilitation are no less the same. The aim of the study is investigate the possibility of reclamation of the landfill located in Grudzi\u0105dz (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship).<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> <\/div>\n

W sesji posterowej zaprezentowana zosta\u0142a praca pt.: Using FTIR iS50 to detect and analyze microplastics in the environment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstrakt:<\/p>\n

The main assumption of presented work is the description of the possible application of infrared spectroscopy on the example of the Nicolet iS50 FTIR Spectrometer for identifying and characterizing plastic microparticles that are present in the environment. FTIR spectroscopy allows to determine the characteristic vibrations for groups present in the compound. Due to the fact that the FTIR spectrum is a spectrum characteristic for a given substance, infrared spectrophotometric analysis is most often used for qualitative research.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> <\/div>\n
